Mucke Melder was the leading producer of modernist tubular metal based furniture of the time. The industrial use of tubular metal in furniture came from the modernist designs of the iconic Bauhaus movement and the work of Mucke Melder was heavily inspired by this movement and the designs of Mies van der Rohe, Mart Stam and Marcel Bruer amongst others. The chairs have been upholstered in quality blue boucle. The wooden armrests were sanded to the finest grit and finished with special wood oil. Chrome part have been polish and come with small beautiful patina.
