1966 Jiri Jiroutek Sideboard, Model U 452 in Yellow and White
At just 30 years old in 1960, Jiroutek designed the U-452 cabinet, a piece that stood out with its clever details, distinctive shape, and modern colors. What made it truly special, however, was its accessibility to the wider public. Thanks to lower production costs, Jiroutek was able to focus on refining the design's finer details. The cabinet’s success was undeniable, it was produced for over 20 years, becoming a familiar feature in the homes of several generations of Czechs and Slovaks. Its iconic sloping wooden legs and timeless design have left a lasting legacy.
